The name of my blog originated from Ben Nimmo's book, Pilgrim Snail: a truly inspiring, moving story of a young man driven by personal tragedy to walk from Canterbury to Santiago de Compostela. He raised a significant amount for charity by busking with his trombone along the way. This marathon journey, accompanied by many blisters, has stayed with me over the years and I truly recommend reading it, at once.*
